This is a towel hand folded and dyed by me. Itajime shibori. 100 % cotton towel.

It is great for wrapping the head up! Here in Japan, people often wrap up their heads in these towels when doing strenuous and sweaty tasks, or dirty tasks, like planting rice. I grew rice for 6 years, and that is when i got in the habit of wearing them. And as a head wrapper myself (hahaha) I like these thinnish towels the best.
I throw one or two in my bag if I am going to be outside for a while, or will be hot and sweaty, and even when it's a bit cool, these are great to put around yer neck, etc
I have a few in my car at all times. Sometimes, i need to wipe something, or wrap something up, etc
We also use them in our bathroom, and have a couple hanging at the hand washing station.
Folks traditionally use these towels in baths also, here in japan, when one is in the bath. It can act as a modesty cover, of sorts, and also serve to wipe water off at the end of the bath, before exiting.
It is similar to a tenugui. A tenugui is literally a hand-wiper, small towel used for everything from actual hand-wiping, to use as a collar or headband or sash, flag, banner, wall art, wrapping cloth, and on and on. So many possibilities with tenugui that i like to call them the Japanese everything cloth. This is a terry cloth tenugui, basically. Also, these are the size of towel used in public baths and hot springs, here in japan. Kind of a traditional size and shape.
Washed and washable in hot water and detergent. Just avoid the dryer. Hang dry.
